The COVID-19 album by Glistening Redchair

CELESTIAL continues GRC’s tradition of visualizing a story around a central theme or concept; this time, Gheff is taking his listeners on a trip across the vastness of outer space throughout the album’s 31-minute playthrough. Even underneath the main theme that ties CELESTIAL together, there are little anecdotes that touch upon various subjects, e.g. the wonderful complexities of being human, the ugliness of human desires, and acceptance of one’s mortality. All these are wrapped in GRC’s signature fuzzy, mammoth-like guitars and hard-hitting drums that are brought to life by the magical touch of Anwar Husaini (mixing and mastering). CELESTIAL definitely calls out for that ‘one more repeat’ by the end of the first listen.
